Israel Kamakawiwo'ole ~ Somewhere over the Rainbow HQ
IZ was wonderful singer and advocate for the Hawaiian youth movement and reminder to the Hawaiian people to never forget their culture.
The last scene of jubilation is his funeral, where his ashes were scattered in the ocean. One of my students was there when he died, said it was the most amazing outpouring of love. And to think he was almost unknown outside Hawai'i during his life!
